Founder of 1+ in the Family is the mother of three Gemma Mases, together with her husband Ignasi Ubach. & nbsp; Gemma is an experienced designer with a great passion for children's fashion. Ignasi is a co-designer and economist with experience in the financial sector and exporting textiles. & nbsp; The label is an absolute heart project by Gemma and was created together with the birth of her niece Bruna, a real dream child. Her sister's brave decision to start a family and raise the child alone was the encouragement for Gemma to start the new project she had dreamed of for so long. Gemma worked as a freelance stylist for various renowned fashion companies for 17 years. In 2007 came the economic crisis, which brought about serious changes in jobs and working conditions in the textile industry. Then, with the support of her husband Ignasi, she decided to found her own company in order to have the products and designs under control.

With her label 1+ in the Family, Gemma designs high-quality baby clothing that brings comfort for the children and aesthetics for the parents. She loves to dress babies and creates stylish and comfortable clothes with eclectic designs, minimalist lines and simple patterns for children from 0 to 48 months. It is timeless clothing with a unisex character. The clothing is constantly evolving, as is the choice of fabrics. Comfort, practicality and the right choice of fabrics are the focus in the creative process. Baby clothes from 1+ in the Family can be easily combined and used flexibly. 1+ in the Family continuously strives for improvement and gradually replaces conventional materials with sustainable materials that have been carefully selected and are durable. Certified organic cotton, plant-based fabrics such as lyocell and fabrics made from 100% linen and materials of natural origin as well as the use of nickel-free snaps and zippers and recyclable product packaging are a matter of course.

1+ in the Family attaches great importance to ethical and local production, the label works with local workshops that are located in the area of ​​Barcelona and only a few kilometers from the label's headquarters be distant.
