The designer, Veronika, founded the brand Dottie Maie back in 2009. At this time, her daughter was one year old. It all started very small: she designed a gift for the wedding of friends. This was so well received that she decided to start a small online shop with home-made things. A wedding gift has become a hobby and the hobby has become a passion and passion for a full-time business.

Veronikas daughter was still very small and the designer worked at the kitchen table until the early morning hours. Packing, shipping orders, everything until the early hours of the morning. The business started to grow and she could hire a friend to help her

In a short time, the label moved from the kitchen table to a small studio. The team grew to 10 members. There were ups and downs, the team was subject to some changes, but always remained small and personal.

In 2011, Veronika decided to design products for children. Wooden toys, prints and accessories for the children's room. She spun her own products with articles by other small and unknown designers to help them in their work and help them to make a name for themselves.
