Lulubona: Creative wooden toys for imaginative play

Lubulona makes beautiful wooden toys. The founders of Lubulona, Jordi & Tina are parents of two boys themselves. Tina is the creative head of the brand, she takes care of product development and the social media presence of Lubulona. She spends a lot of her time with a brush in her hand, transforming simple wood into colourful toys. Jordi takes care of the communication with suppliers, dealers and distributors. He processes the orders and makes sure that the products arrive safely at their destinations. On the side he grinds, varnishes and paints. He never gets bored.

Lubulona's first product was Lubu Town, a versatile wooden toy town that inspires children to become architects and build their own buildings and towns. Of course, Lubulona has left nothing to chance: During the design phase, Jordi & Tina worked with three to six year old children, to whom they gave various prototypes to play with. Based on their observations while playing, they adapted the prototypes. The end product is a versatile, creative and intuitive toy that combines construction with symbolic play, allowing children to decide how and with what they want to play.

Lubulona's building blocks enable imaginative and open play, keeping children occupied for hours. Simple shapes, interpreted in a modern way. In concrete terms, they are high-quality building sets and small vehicles.

Pedagogically valuable wooden toys

Lubulona's toys deliberately work on the wood without any recognizable brand name, so that the imagination has a lot of room for manoeuvre and boys and girls feel equally addressed. If you only give children toys of certain brands, the possible advantages of various toys may be limited. Boys usually get more toys in the form of cars, while girls get more dolls or toys for role playing.

Lubulona toys comply with the European standard for toy safety and are CE marked. Only paints and adhesives certified according to EN71 are used and are therefore absolutely suitable for toys.

Lubulona believes that there is already too much plastic in the world and it is not necessary to produce more. That is why Lubulona's toys are made of high quality beech wood. For the packaging we use environmentally friendly cardboard boxes and cloth bags, completely without plastic. All products are manufactured in Europe, which is already the environment, since the distances for transport are reduced to a minimum.
